EdwinBrokesh is an Assistant Professor in the Carl and Melinda Helwig Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department at Kansas State University with teaching, research, and extension responsibilities. Dr. Brokesh teaches engineering design and ag machine courses. His research is related to tillage and safety related topics. His extension focus is on ag safety and currently is working to develop the Kansas Ag Safety and Health Center (KASH) at Kansas State University. Dr. Brokesh joined the K-State BAE department in 2008 following a 24-year career as a design engineer and manager within the livestock equipment, grain handling equipment and ATV industries. As a result of this experience, he became involved in the ASABE Lighting and Marking Committee among other safety related committees. The Lighting and Marking committee is responsible for the standard that is the foundation of 49 CFR Part 562 the “Agricultural Machinery Illumination and Safety Act” (AMISA). Dr. Brokesh holds a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering, a M.B.A and a PhD from Kansas State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Kansas.
