Jessi Grote, RN, MS, DNP

Professional Development Coordinator

Jessi is passionate about rural because she is rural. She believes the best way to live life is to love many things, and she does just that. Jessi ranches with her husband and children in the Nebraska Panhandle. She has worked as an RN in a variety of rural settings from critical care to critical access, to quality, engagement, administration, education, and adjunct faculty. She also founded and runs a nonprofit (Foster Love with Beef) providing beef to foster families, works as a home health and hospice nurse and volunteers as an EMT in her community.

Dr. Grote received her Bachelors Degree from South Dakota State University (Go Jacks!), holds a Masters in Nursing Education from Gonzaga University and completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice with a focus on Executive Leadership, with her final project being on Transportation and Access to Care in a Rural Nebraska Village. She is in the Association for Nursing Professional Development, the Nebraska Center for Nursing, National Rural Health Association, and Nebraska Rural Health Association, and holds her board certification in Nursing Professional Development.
