Amber Adams Progar is an Assistant Professor and Dairy Management Specialist in the Department of Animal Sciences at Washington State University. She grew up on a farm in Wisconsin where she housed her 4-H and FFA animals. Since earning her PhD in Animal Science from Texas A&M University, she has focused on helping farmers address complex issues related to animal behavior and well-being. She currently combines her teaching skills and passion for farming to develop and offer safety trainings on dairies. Her research aims to determine which training methods lead to improved knowledge and long-term behavioral changes in participants.
