I am very honored and excited to begin working with AgriSafe and the PA Department of Agriculture in this new and important role. I have an extensive background and continue to work in higher ed, community health, and both acute care and behavioral health.
My education and experience in community health has shaped my perspective and understanding of the unique and varied needs of agricultural farmers & farmworkers, particularly seasonal and migrant, as well as other vulnerable populations. My academic and nursing experience will be invaluable as I work with others to extend the breadth of understanding, training, and support throughout the state.
I hope to be able to provide a positive contribution to offset stigma related to mental health and aid to coordinate potential services and needs related to the mental health and safety of the farmworkers in the state.
