Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men, women, and people of most racial and ethnic groups in the United States. According to the American Heart Association, someone dies of heart disease every 36 seconds in the US. That is 2,380 deaths each day.
Stress impacts heart health. Significant risk factors of stress can include concern over finances, weather, and both personal and family issues. Stress may lead to high blood pressure, which increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
